Under the command of Captain Daniel D. Moreland, the Barque PICTON CASTLE will set sail from Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada on or about November 1st, 2017 outward bound on an epic 18-month around the world voyage, returning to Lunenburg in May 2019.

In partnership with the Nova Scotia Seamanship Education Society, we're thrilled to announce that scholarships are available for the upcoming Transatlantic Voyage. Scholarships will help to offset the cost of enrolling in a sail training program for individuals wishing to pursue or continue a career at sea.

Applications are now being accepted from aspiring professional mariners who already have sea time and certifications for square rig apprenticeships on the Westward Bound voyage, beginning July 2014.

Trainee Brian Matthie, from Summerside, PEI, Canada, signed on to sail from Sydney to Auckland. When he returned home, his local newspaper wrote a story about his adventures.
